Joseph Belan (Chief Executive Officer, Director)Mr. Belan was a Managing Director of Pala Investments AG. Prior to joining Pala in 2006, Mr. Belan served as Head of Metals and Mining and Steel in Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs, London. Over the course of his career, Mr. Belan has advised many multinational companies in the metals and mining industry. Mr. Belan received his Honours Business Administration degree from the Ivey Business School, University of Western Ontario. |
Richard Lister (Director)Dr. Lister has over 40 years of experience in the mining, metallurgical and chemical industries. He has served as President and CEO of Zemex Corporation, Vice Chairman of Zemex and of Dundee Bancorp Inc., Chairman of Campbell Resources Inc. and President and CEO of Campbell Resources Inc. Dr. Lister holds a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Science and a Ph.D from the University of Toronto. Dr. Lister is also a director of Timminco Limited, Anatolia Minerals Development Limited and Tiberon Minerals Ltd. |
Bruce Barraclough (Director)Mr. Barraclough worked for Ernst & Young LLP for 37 years, 27 of which were as a Partner. His clients consisted of large and small TSX or Venture Exchange-listed companies with both domestic and international operations, as well as Foreign Private Issuers registered in the United States. He has been involved with IPOs, due diligence and spin-offs. Mr. Barraclough is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. He also has an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University and a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Toronto. |
Jan Castro (Director)Mr. Castro is a Managing Director and the founder of Pala Investments AG, an investment company focused on the mining and natural resources sector. Prior to founding Pala Investments AG, Mr. Castro was Senior Vice President - Investments and Corporate Affairs for Mechel OAO, a NYSE-listed company and one of Russia's largest coal companies, where his primary responsibilities covered mergers and acquisitions, non-core asset disposals and investor and public relations. He was also responsible for Mechel's IPO in 2004. Mr. Castro received his J.D. and B.A. from Columbia University. Mr. Castro serves on the boards of Anatolia Minerals Development Ltd., Avoca Resources Limited, Gemcom Software International Inc., Dumas Contracting Ltd. and Norcast Castings Company Limited. |
Charles Entrekin (Director)Charles Entrekin Ph.D. has over 30 years of experience in the mining and metals sector and possesses significant public company experience at the executive officer level. He has recently served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Titanium Metals Corporation, a $1.3 billion NYSE listed producer of primary titanium and its alloys as well as President and Chief Executive Officer of Timminco Ltd., a $250 million TSX listed magnesium, silicon and aluminum company. Through his career Dr. Entrekin has led and implemented many successful restructurings and turnarounds of mining and metals companies in both North America and internationally. Dr. Entrekin holds an MBA from the University of Delaware as well as an M.Sc. and Ph.D from Drexel University. |
